Flashy Adventurer System : Show Off to Get Stronger!

Chapter 454 A Flashy End

'No way in hell would I give up! That would be even more uncool, no?'

He already dealt considerable damage to the wyvern. As long as he got through this, the enormous draconian's bleeding tail would be its ticking time bomb.

There's just no way he could bring himself to surrender at this point.

This was supposed to be fate's lesson regarding greed, however, in the end, it ended up as a mere chance for Shye to double down.

He should've been thinking of his loved ones. His sister, his lover, his parents, and his friends.

Yet, all he thought about was a glorious victory—a good mindset for those with nothing to lose, but for someone dear in the hearts of many, it wasn't the most optimal.

Unfortunately, Shye didn't even notice.

'Fine, let's see if you can keep holding me!'

Changing both greatswords to two elemental staffs once more, Shye held one with his left hand and bit the other one.

As long as he was in contact with two of them, his spells would be amplified, so he didn't need his next spell to originate from the staffs themselves.

In fact, he needed to cast it from his hand, as it would be more beneficial for him to do so.

The wyvern wasn't about to allow him to do anything he wanted, though and immediately started to tighten its grip.

"Puhaahk!"

Shye spat out a mouthful of blood, nearly screaming in agony as he felt his bones being slowly crushed by the increasing pressure of the wyvern's talons.

'Stoic!'

After increasing his physical defense by 70% for 5 seconds, Shye was finally able to barely resist the pain.

'Don't let go now!'

'Gravitational Drain!'

Grabbing a part of the wyvern's talon with his right hand, the force of gravity caused his hand to stick to it as if they were bound together by an invisible rope.

Then, soon after, the Ember Wyvern felt its vitality leaving its body through Shye's hands.

The monstrous creature tried to engage in a battle of endurance with Shye, however, the feeling of its body withering away at an alarming speed brought fear and panic to its heart.

As a result, the wyvern hastily let go of Shye, treating him as though he was some filthy cockroach.

Unfortunately for the draconian, Shye was indeed like a cockroach, his grip refusing to loosen as he continued to cling to the Ember Wyvern's talon.

This time, the wyvern truly panicked.

However, no matter what it did, the young human's hand remained stuck to it, draining its vitality and energy at an alarming rate.

*ROAR!*

With a fierce roar, the wyvern declared its unwillingness to fall prey to a mere lone young human male.

It then used its other talon to try and forcefully remove the darned human parasite.

'Hmmph!'

Naturally, Shye immediately noticed its actions, and he would sure as hell never let go of such a golden opportunity.

Yanking the wyvern's talon downwards with all his might, Shye deactivated the [Gravitational Drain] skill at the perfect moment, successfully propelling himself upwards.

He then returned both elemental staffs to the inventory, replacing them with Adamance and Mithra, and stabbing the former deep into the wyvern's flesh.

*ROAR!*

Caught off guard by Shye's swift maneuver, the ember wyvern roared in agony.

However, before it could recover, it felt a series of stabbing pains starting from its legs, traveling up to its chest, and finally reaching its face.

As blood spurted out of the stab wounds, the severely weakened wyvern couldn't help but roar even louder in utter anguish.

Shortly after, though, the young human's voice allowed it to momentarily regather its wits.

"I'll be taking your eyes."

Sadly, the wyvern's clear-headedness did not last for a long time as an extremely sharp pain once again brought it to the brink of insanity.

This time, the pain came from its left eye.

The pain was so excruciating that it caused the wyvern to crash hard onto the ground.

Anticipating this, Shye executed precise maneuvers, enabling him to land in a magnificent, cool pose.

To make things better, he managed to do so atop the collapsed wyvern's body.

Shye wanted to savor the moment of bringing down a wyvern from the sky for a few more seconds, however, he knew that the Ember Wyvern was still alive and that his highlight would be ruined should he ultimately end up fleeing due to carelessness.

Hence, he decided to finish the job first.

"Check this out, draconian!"

Summoning his wings, Shye soared upward with a powerful flap.

He then charged his weapons with [Power Slash] and used [Rush Stab] to descend toward the wyvern, which was struggling to stand, at an unbelievable speed.

'Boost! Boost!'

With two charges of boost and the assistance of gravity, Shye's greatswords pierced deep into the skull of the Ember Wyvern, causing crimson blood to spurt out of its orifices.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

At that moment, the wyvern…had died.

However, Shye didn't seem to notice as he truly wanted to ensure that his series of attacks would take the wyvern's life.

Without withdrawing his greatswords, Shye utilized the warrior weapons to cast a mage spell deep within the already dead draconian's skull, aiming to obliterate its brain.

'Fireball!'

*BOOM!*

After one fiery explosion that echoed across the highland grove, the wyvern collapsed—its head—charred.

Landing on the ground a few meters away from the dead draconian, Shye quickly looked at the wyvern.

Then, upon realizing his success in killing it, Shye roared triumphantly to the skies.

Activating his [Draconian Roar Lv.4] skill, he unleashed a primal roar reminiscent of dragons, causing it to reverberate throughout the area.

This further enhanced his aura of coolness and mightiness for the recording crystal's replay.

After a while, he remained in a cool pose, slowly retrieving the recording crystal from his spatial bag and manually stopping the recording.

"Haha…Hahahahaha! Wasn't that ending just perfect? I bet the Valenzia Arena will shower me with system points again! Hahaha!"
