Flashy Adventurer System : Show Off to Get Stronger!

Chapter 236: Constantine Consumables Membership Card

"Pffft…I knew it, that guy was probably just stupid, taking everything he wanted from the shelves without checking the price."

"Hahaha, turns out this showoff doesn't even have a membership card!"

"Poor guy…this should serve as a lesson for him. I hope he doesn't put himself in this embarrassing situation in the future…"

Hoarding various high-grade potions and tonics half an hour ago, Shye inevitably captured the attention of other shoppers, discreetly following him around while pretending to window shop.

Talk about having nothing better to do for the day.

Shye wasn't an idiot and he noticed that there were people following him around as he shopped, looking at him as though he had a compulsive buying disorder.

Well, as long as they weren't antagonizing his merry shopping experience then he wouldn't care.

Unknowingly, he gathered around 500 onlookers as he shopped around.

Unfortunately for him, a few of those 500 were now mocking him for being humiliated by the dastardly trio.

Shye couldn't blame anyone but himself though, he knew that conceding his spot wasn't the correct decision, however, he still decided to do so in hopes of controlling his easily irritated heart.

He hated it. He was sure that he wasn't so easily angered before.

Well, during the Adventurer Academy Competition at least.

Despite experiencing occasional anger, those instances were primarily fueled by longstanding animosity between his academy and another.

'When could this have started?' was a question frequenting his mind nowadays.

Regrettably, the bastards he conceded the transaction spot to were utter troublemakers, pushing him to the brink of rage with every word.

Hence, he decided to stop controlling his easily angered heart and see where fate takes him with his newfound attitude.

Bastards be damned.

He'll be kind when he wants to and be an assh*le should his heart decide to.

From now on, only those he deemed worthy would receive his respect and kind treatment.

Only those he wanted to help would receive help.

He learned a few days ago—the hard way—that not everyone deserves his kindness, after all.

"Dogs really do keep barking if you don't discipline them," Shye exclaimed loudly, surprising the onlookers who had previously perceived him as a timid young adventurer, afraid of the three troublemakers.

"Hahahaha you wanted me to move aside, yet, your transaction seems…meager…You're probably just another envious broke-ass adventurer so I shall not argue with you anymore," he added, looking at the small amount of potions, tonics, and antidotes atop the counter beside his with a mocking smile before turning his head to look at the cashier in front of him.

"WHAT DID YOU SAY?!" The leader of the trio replied in utter fury, however, upon seeing how…huge…the bastard's transaction was, he couldn't help but shut up for a few seconds, wracking his brains to think of a good comeback.

There was no way for him to insult the guy's purchases after all.

The amount suggested that the guy purchasing them was either crazy rich or just straight-up crazy.

"I don't have a membership card right now, however, I do want to purchase one. Could you please kindly explain to me the various membership tiers?" Taking advantage of the other party's silence, Shye respectfully asked the cashier.

Upon hearing Shye's words, both cashiers felt elated, knowing that the sale of a membership card would result in a significant commission for each of them, depending on the tier of the card sold.

It didn't matter who sold the card, both of them would receive money for it, hence, the cashier enthusiastically explained each tier.

"We have a total of five membership tiers, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. The membership cards are valid for a lifetime and would provide customers with discounts proportionate to the membership tier. Please check this pamphlet for the specific discount offers per membership tier." The cashier said, handing a small pamphlet made from high-quality paper.

Taking the pamphlet from the cashier's hands, Shye looked at its contents—the arrogant smile never left his face, pissing the three troublemakers off even more.

Bronze membership - 10% discount for every purchase, limited to three uses each month.

Silver membership - 15% discount for every purchase, limited to five uses each month.

Gold membership - 20% discount for every purchase, limited to seven uses each month.

Platinum membership - 25% discount for every purchase, limited to nine uses each month.

Diamond membership - 32% discount for every purchase, limited to twelve uses each month.

While he was reading the pamphlet, the other cashier processing the transactions of the troublemakers asked the same question, prompting the troublemakers to proudly take out a gold membership card, looking at Shye with smirks on their faces as they handed their card over to the cashier.

Naturally, the onlookers were amazed.

They were regular shoppers at Constantine Consumables and most of them knew the prices of the membership cards as they attempted to purchase one before but were only able to afford the bronze one.

The higher-tier cards offered a better price-to-benefit ratio, but despite their clear value, the onlookers found themselves unable to pay for them.

Nonetheless, as regular shoppers, their membership cards had proven invaluable over the past few years, and they could confidently declare that they had no regrets about purchasing them.

"So he has a gold-tier card…I'd say his arrogance has an actual basis…"

"Yeah, I'd need to save up for at least three years before I could afford one. If I tried saving silver coins for that long, I'd probably be long gone before I could purchase one."

Commented the spectators as they looked at the trio in awe.

"Hahaha, what a clown. Just because my transaction is a bit smaller than yours, it doesn't mean you have more money. It's just that we prefer to shop regularly." The leader of the trio said, an arrogant smirk plastered on his face as he retrieved his gold card from the cashier.

Just as a few observers were poised to voice their agreement with the trio who possessed a gold-tier membership card, hoping to gain favor with them, a voice of even greater arrogance echoed from the adjacent counter.

"I would like to purchase a diamond-tier membership please."
