Eternal life begins with saving my clan

Chapter 391 Louyang and His men fell into Despair.

"Hey you, get over here," Luoyang pointed at the guard captain.

When the guard captain saw Luoyang pointing at him, he almost lost his breath in fright. His lips trembled, and his heart pounded heavily against his chest.

He dragged his feet forward, tears welling in his eyes.

Standing before the malevolent Luoyang, his legs turned to jelly, trembling uncontrollably.

"Do you know what happened to our men?" Luoyang asked.

"Hmm?" The guard captain was confused and couldn't wrap his head around what Luoyang was asking.

"M-My… Lord?" His voice trembled. "Who are your men?"

"Do you want me to cut off your legs so you can remember a group of men who entered your city a couple of weeks ago?" one of the bandits asked, with a savage grin.

"Ah! I remember!" the guard captain shouted, terrified.

"They attacked the Celestial Heavenly Store and were killed."

"Hmm?"

All the bandits furrowed their brows when they heard that their comrades were killed by a mere store.

"A mere store dares to kill our men!" one of the bandits shouted in fury, his eyes burning with anger.

They were the Crimson Shadow Bandits—how could weak mortals kill their comrades?

Luoyang's expression remained unchanged as he commanded, "Bring the store owner here right now!" His voice was filled with rage. "I want to see what gave them the strength to kill my men."

"Huh!" The guard captain's eyes widened.

Call the Celestial Heavenly Store owner.

How was that possible?!

He rolled his eyes, wanting to cry. He was caught between a rock and a hard place. What should he do?

"If we don't see the store owner here right now, I'll kill one person every minute."

Whoosh!

Ahhh!

A miserable scream erupted from one of the guards as he clutched his neck. Fear marred his face as he collapsed to the ground, a thin line appearing on his neck before blood gushed out.

Thud!

He fell dead.

Watching this, the guard captain was scared senseless, his spine drenched in a cold sweat.

"Ah… I'll call the store owner right away!" he shouted and rushed inside the city.

The atmosphere was tense, and the few pedestrians trembled, their faces filled with horror.

They might be poor, but they had never witnessed such brutal killing before.

Suddenly, heavy footsteps echoed on the street, and everyone turned their heads in the direction of the sound.

Marching in disciplined formation, twenty knights advanced, led by a man at the front.

When the pedestrians saw the knights, a sigh of relief escaped their lips, and their faces lit up with hope.

These were the invincible Celestial Heavenly Store Knights.

With both hands behind his back, Deng Kun stopped a few feet from Luoyang and looked him over from head to toe.

"Are you the one so brazenly attacking the city?" Deng Kun asked, his voice flat.

"Yes. I'm the Vice Leader of the Crimson Shadow Bandits. And who are you?" Luoyang demanded, squinting.

He stared at Deng Kun and couldn't detect any martial artist's aura from him. Still, his instincts screamed of danger.

His instincts had never been wrong. He had honed them through countless life-and-death battles, saving him many times.

Deng Kun did not reply and walked forward with both hands still behind his back.

Watching this, everyone held their breath, not understanding what Deng Kun was up to.

Luoyang could no longer remain calm. He felt an unprecedented threat from this man and prepared to attack.

And then the impossible happened.

His body failed to obey his commands.

'What! Why can't I move my body?' he screamed inwardly.

He was an expert martial artist and had never experienced such suppression before.

He tried everything to escape the suppression, but it was futile. Deng Kun appeared before him.

Bang!

No one saw how Deng Kun slapped Luoyang, but the thunderous slap reverberated throughout the quiet surroundings.

Luoyang felt the world slow to a crawl as he watched everything in slow motion. But when his head hit the hard ground, he snapped out of his trance.

Ahhh!

A miserable scream escaped his mouth, blood splashing from his lips.

Lying sprawled on the ground, he tried to get up, only to find he couldn't. It was then he realized the horror of what was happening.

'I'm doomed!' he screamed inwardly, his face contorted in despair.

He turned to look at his men, only to find they were under the same suppression. None of them could move.

They sat on their horses like statues.

Inside the city, the crowd was stupefied, unable to believe their eyes.

"Am I dreaming?" the guard captain muttered in disbelief.

Deng Kun walked slowly toward Luoyang and slapped his face continuously. The previously prideful face had swollen to resemble that of a pig.

It was so swollen that his eyes, nose, and mouth were mangled, making it impossible for anyone to recognize his features.

As for Luoyang, he had long fainted from the terrifying slaps.

Whoosh!

A sword appeared in Deng Kun's hand out of thin air, and he severed Luoyang's head.

The once-domineering vice leader of the infamous Crimson Shadow Bandits died just like that.

"Hang his head at the city gate," Deng Kun commanded.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

He turned to look at the frozen five hundred bandits and continued, "Kill them all and hang their heads on the city gate."

As he finished speaking, the suppression on the bandits lifted, and their faces contorted in horror.

Although they had been under suppression, they could still see everything happening around them. They had witnessed their ruthless leader being beaten black and blue.

Who said Dongping City was full of weak mortals?

Right now, the only thought in their minds was to escape this cursed land.

Unfortunately, they wouldn't have the chance.

Whoosh!

The twenty knights pounced on them at terrifying speed, their gleaming swords shining brightly in the sun as they reaped the bandits' lives.

Watching the carnage, the crowd stood with their jaws dropped, hearts pounding, and minds filled with reverence.

Ten minutes later, the battle was over. All the bandits had been beheaded, their heads hung on the city wall.

The knights returned to their formation and marched back into the city, leaving the surroundings as quiet as a graveyard.
