Tang Meng and Tie Xiaohu quietly stared at Ling Yun, who was standing in front of a window and chock full of passion. They couldn’t help but feel amazed at the sight before them.

They thought of the exact same word at the same time — bold. Ling Yun was so bold!

After lunch, in less than two hours, he had bought two villas. He hadn’t even flinched once during the process.

The two villas cost 43 million. Ling Yun had also spent more than two million on clothes. In a blink of an eye, he had spent more than 45 million.

This amount of money was like a tsunami. Enough to cause skies to fall and the earth to shake.

Was this really the same boss who worshipped money as much as his life and would do anything for money?

Zhuang Meifeng lightly bit her red lips. Her gaze was as gentle and soft as water. She drifted towards Ling Yun’s side and instinctively held his arm, quietly accompanying him.

Ling Yun looked at the bank account notification he received on his phone. He realized that his Chinese currency account was left only with 1.8 million while his American dollar account had only a million left. He smiled slightly—this didn’t pain him at all.

Not at all.

This was because these were houses for his mother and younger sister. He wanted them to stay in villas. Money could still be earned back. Yet, for a comfortable life, each day that passed could not be taken back.

He could still handle this bit of expenditure.

Suddenly, Ling Yun’s phone rang and broke the room’s undisturbed silence.

It was Cao Shanshan and he immediately picked up the call.

“Hey, Ling Yun, why didn’t you come for lessons this afternoon? Are you…still not done there yet?” Cao Shanshan already knew Ling Yun was lying, but she could only feign ignorance.

“Yep, I’m not done yet. I don’t think I will be attending lessons today,” Ling Yun faintly said.

Cao Shanshan furrowed her brows, bit her lower lip and stayed silent for while. Eventually, she told Ling Yun, “Our form teacher took your phone number. She might call you this afternoon, just think about what you’re going to say.”

Though Ling Yun’s truancy made her angry and anxious, she still could not bear seeing him scolded and criticized by their form teacher, hence her giving him the heads up.

Ling Yun faintly smiled again, saying, “I know. Thank you.” He then ended the call.

He suddenly grabbed Zhuang Meifeng’s slender waist and said, “Let’s go, I’m sending all of you back.”

He had yet to check out his newly bought mansions. The group of five left the Qingshui Wharf villa district before heading straight to Ling Yun’s home.

Upon arrival, Tang Meng stopped the car and the four of them moved the newly bought clothes and shoes into Ling Yun’s house. Ling Yun stood at his rental house’s entrance, giving in to a surge of emotions.

Compared to his recently bought villas, this was a thatched house.

The rich and the poor—these two groups were worlds apart.

When all of them went into his house, Zhuang Meifeng felt reluctant to move upon seeing all the new furniture. “Ugh, we just bought these things yesterday. These cost hundreds of thousands…”

Ling Yun chuckled, “Reluctant to leave, huh? Don’t worry, we’re not moving now. I’m going to wait till I’m done with my finals.”

“We’re really not moving?” Zhuang Meifeng’s face was full of doubt.

Ling Yun told himself that compared to his Shichiyou Herb, the two villas were nothing. Of course, he couldn’t move, not before the Shichiyou Herbs were ripe. This had to wait until he was done with his training.

Only when there was nothing holding him back would it be the time to move.

Without power, what use was there staying in a villa? He could be eating and living well, but if he were to be killed, what would be the point?

Ling Yun left Zhuang Meifeng and Xiao Meimei in his house, taking the two villas’ keys along with the purchase contracts. He then led both Tang Meng and Tie Xiaohu away in his car.

“Where’s the Maserati now?” Ling Yun asked the driving Tang Meng.

Tang Meng answered, “Boss, it’s in my house’s garage.”

Ling Yun then turned his head to ask Tie Xiaohu, “Do you know how to drive?”

Tie Xiaohu nodded and answered, “Yes!”

Ling Yun laughed, “That’s good. Let’s go and retrieve the car. Then, I’ll bring you two over to my house.”

After the three of them reached Tang Meng’s house’s garage, Tie Xiaohu started up the Maserati, followed Tang Meng’s car, and headed straight to The People’s Clinic along Linjiang Road.

On the road, Ling Yun made a call to his mom. Upon confirming his mother was there, he signaled to Tang Meng to drive faster.

After the Hummer and Maserati exited the ring road, Tang Meng and Tie Xiaohu sped to their destination.

Ling Yun immediately rushed out of the car and dashed into The People’s Clinic. When he saw the next door shop owner, Li Hongmei, talking to his mother, he smiled and said hello. Following which he placed the contracts of both villas and their keys in front of Qin Qiuyue.

“Mom, I bought two villas today. Which one would you like to live in?” Ling Yun said whilst smiling at his mom, his usual calm demeanor unable to contain hints of excitement.

“Ah?! This, this…”

Before Qin Qiuyue could even say anything, Li Hongmei gasped in shock.

What? Villas? There are even two? How…how much does all of that cost?

Li Hongmei was shocked for a good half a minute. She then took both contracts in her hand, did a quick scan through and was shocked.

Qingxi villa and Qingshui Wharf villa! They’re worth 43 million!

Li Hongmei almost fainted on the spot. This was simply incredible. There was no one in Qingshui City that did not know about these villas.

Qin Qiuyue had really moved up in life.

Qin Qiuyue did not have much of a response, only giving a momentary look of praise towards Ling Yun. She then slightly rebuked, “Really, couldn’t you have saved the money? How am I going to live alone in such a big mansion?”

Ling Yun was unsatisfied with the lack of response from his mother and couldn’t help but turn his head towards Tang Meng and Tie Xiaohu who were both walking into the room. He felt that it was impressive that two days of work had provided two villas for his mother. Yet, he felt extremely disappointed with her lack of response.

Even Li Hongmei who was just her neighbor was so moved that she couldn’t say anything for two minutes.

“Mom, you’re using a rental car right? I also brought a car for you. It’s a Maserati.”

Ling Yun now finally had the chance to mention the Maserati. He had been itching to reveal it for a long time.

Since Ning Lingyu still couldn’t drive and the Maserati wasn’t being used anyways, he felt that he might as well give his mom the convenience of driving it.

Qin Qiuyue gave a slight smile. She then nodded and said, “Good. Now I can get to places more conveniently.”

Ling Yun took the Maserati’s keys from Tie Xiaohu and placed it in front of Qin Qiuyue. He then asked with extreme wonder, “Mum, which one will you be living in?”

Qin Qiuyue gave Ling Yun an indecisive look, and she then took up the Qingshui Wharf villa contract. She sweetly smiled. “This one. I love peace and quiet. Staying here will be just suitable.”

Ling Yun felt that his mother was slightly thick-skinned, choosing the bigger of the two mansions.

“Hi, Auntie…”

“Hi, Auntie…”

Only then, Tang Meng and Tie Xiaohu respectfully said hi to Qin Qiuyue.

“Mom, this is Tie Xiaohu,” Ling Yun promptly introduced him to Qin Qiuyue.

Qin Qiuyue raised her head and curiously took a few looks at Tie Xiaohu. She then smiled and nodded. She turned towards Ling Yun and said, “Tie Xiaohu… He’s also your classmate, right? Both of them are not bad, take good care of them from now on.”

Qin Qiuyue then turned her head towards Ling Yun, staring at him with shining eyes, rebuking, “Did you just come here while playing truant?”

Ling Yun had no idea how to lie his way out of this and could only honestly nod his head.

Qin Qiuyue smiled and said, ” Mom doesn’t care about what you do outside all the day but no matter what, you can’t let that hamper your studies. You know you have to get into the same university as your younger sister, right?”

Seeing that his mom had finally given him a decently high aim to achieve, Ling Yun was somehow relaxed by this. He hurriedly said, “Mom, rest assured. I promise I will enter the same university as Sister.”

“Qiuyue, you sure are something. Ling Yun is such a smart and filial child, and with so much talent, it would be easy for him to get into the same university as Lingyu. Look at him, it’s only been a few days and he has surely become more handsome…”

Li Hongmei finally managed to react. Qin Qiuyue had managed such a meteoric rise in just a mere few days, done so merely depending on an adopted child. How could she resist praising Lingyun?

Yet, Li Hongmei could not figure out what Lingyun had been doing to have achieved such a huge transformation.

However, these things weren’t important anymore. The more important thing was to quickly suck up to Qin Qiuyue.

Although she was shocked, Ling Yun had not just bought Qin Qiuyue two villas, he had also brought back a Maserati.

Simply added together, it was all worth 50 million. That wasn’t even considering the villas’ future appreciation in value.

Li Hongmei obviously didn’t know that if Ling Yun sold off the two villas, even if he couldn’t earn 40 million, he could get 20 million easily with swarms of buyers.

Ling Yun kept the Qingxi Villa District villa’s keys and told his mom, “Mom, I don’t think you should continue keeping this clinic open. You should quickly settle your current matters and then move into the Qingshui Wharf villa. Whatever you need, I’ll go buy and buy it with Tang Meng.”

Ling Yun really hoped his mum could live a comfortable life. Adding in the one million US dollars, he now had over ten million dollars in Chinese currency. What was the point of having his mum running the clinic if he already had that much money?

Qin Qiuyue happily answered, “Okay, I’ll visit the Qingshui Wharf Villa District tomorrow and call you after that.”

“Okay. I’ll be going first then. I still have many matters to settle…” Ling Yun had finished his most important task. It was time for him to go.

“Go. Be careful outside!” reminded Qin Qiuyue as she stood up, sending the trio out.
