Chapter 230 - Collected Debt

Khal could hardly believe what he just heard.

He knew that the Ourvi Famil was one of the strongest families on the Southern Continent, but as to that they were this strong... It was unthinkable!

To be able to have influence over the happenings in the entire continent, meant the Ourvi Family had a tremendous amount of power, more than one could have believed it to be.

When Alde saw Khal's shocked gaze he grinned with pride and said, "Shocked? Not everyone knows this, as my family usually works in the shadows, from behind the curtains, but almost all the bigger families are aware of our terrifying power on the Southern Continent. If we wish to, we can kill thousands of people under a single night, bringing the entire Southern Continent into pure chaos!"

"You can even say we have the whole continent atop our palm, but as we, or to be more precise my father, wish to remain hidden for the time being because of some stupid reason that he insists on telling me, we don't do it."

He then added, now with accumulated confidence and determination, "That is why, if you spare my life, not only will I promise to forget all that happened here, but I also make sure to get special privilege in my family!"

"Just think about it! You no longer have to fear starvation nor do you have to worry that either you or your beloved ones' lives get into danger as they will be protected by my men! Hell, you all will be able to swim in gold and fame if you decide to join my family right now and here!"

"Also, now that I can see just how strong you have become and how much potential is still in you, I would be a fool not to attempt to recruit you."

Khal listened to Alde's alluring invitation in silence, but his weapon never got lowered from before his neck, not even an inch. Instead, he kept it there where it was and just stared at Alde with an ice-cold gaze.

Alde seemed nervous because of Khal's silence, but deep inside he was confident he will accept it as just who in their right mind would refuse such an offer? Let alone the fact that if he decides to kill him he will be hunted down for the rest of his life, turning his life into a real hell, his loved ones, especially Liza, will be captured and tortured for the rest of their lives as a compensation!

So in Alde's opinion, only a fool that went completely insane would choose to refuse his offer and kill him.

"Come on! Don't you want power? Don't you want to protect her? With this chance you will be able to do anything, you just only to say one thing! said Alde after a small while as he seemed to misunderstand Khal's silence, but in reality, he already planned his revenge on Khal.

'Just let me free and I swear you will regret even the day you came onto this world! Maybe not now, but I pledge myself as an Ourvi that I will take my revenge on you in the future!'

Seconds turned into minutes, and after a long and deep silence later Khal suddenly smiled, which made Alde smile too before saying, "Perfect, perfect! It seems you are indeed not a fo-"

Swish!

Alde suddenly stopped talking as suddenly his eyes caught a glimpse of a black flash before a sharp pain pierced his left arm.

"E-Eh?! Wha-, ARRGGHH! YOU FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT YOU JUST DID? AAARRGHH!" Alde screamed at the top of his lungs, clenching the bleeding spot on his left shoulder where his left arm should have been!

"You are really naive to think I will forgive what you did just because you offer me something I already have! As for why I cut down your arm, that was for trying to kill me and Liza back then after the Ceremony."

"I-"

Swish!

"AAAARRRGHHH!"

After another black flash, Alde's right arm got also severed, falling into the puddle of crimson blood on the ground that formed thanks to his blood that flowed out both of his wounds where his arms should have been located!

While Alde screamed like a tortured pig, Khal raised his weapon above his head and continued to speak.

"And this was for attempting to kill me for the second time."

Taking a deep, but calm breath, Khal snorted coldy and continued, "As for the main reason why I will never forgive you, not even in a million years, is because of you someone lost her life even though she shouldn't have to! And I am here to collect that debt!"

Alde forced himself to remain silent and glance at Khal, but the sight he saw was something that made his already hopeless gaze become even hopeless.

"P-Please... I regretted what I did, so..."

"It's already too late for that, but let's hope in your next life you will think twice before acting so headlong! You can never know what the future holds for you, right?" said Khal, and even before waiting for Alde to respond, he swung his weapon that was now covered in crimson flames and drew a scarlet crescent arc in the air, slicing Alde's armless body into two, perfect halves!

Swish!

BOOOM!

The very instant his weapon reached the other end of Alde, the flames that remained on the body exploded with exceptionally great power, turning Alde's now long ago ceased corpse into nothing more but ash while the ground below melted into a boiling mess in a split second!

Khal stood on the side with an indifferent gaze, staring at the spot where Alde was just a few moments ago, his body still like a frozen sculpture.

And exactly after one whole minute later, that for some reason seemed an entire hour for him, Khal closed his eyes before sighing deeply that made him feel as though just a huge mountain fell off his heart.

"It's finally over..."
