A Husband For Killer Mom

Chapter 174 - 174 Ch. 174 The Past (1)

174 Ch. 174 The Past (1)

(Two years earlier ...)

A great news happened at Master Wong’s residence―an adorable little angel would come and live with the Wong family―her name was Zhao Anxia.

The orphanage said that little Anxia had no parents and only arrived at the orphanage a few weeks ago. Mrs. Wong felt her heart stir when she saw the girl for the first time at the orphanage. The little one reminded her of Loraine Shu, her close friend. Unfortunately, Loraine’s husband embezzled her husband’s company’s funds and was now in jail.

Is Qiao Anxia the daughter of Loraine? Well, that was ridiculous, considering she recalled nothing that her friend had given birth to a daughter. Not to mention, Loraine’s husband’s surname was a Zhao, not a Qiao, yet strangely, this little Qiao Anxia had a similar trait to Loraine.

Mrs. Wong couldn’t have another baby since her uterus was fragile, while Michele had always wanted to have a younger sibling. Seeing how loveable and sweet Qiao Anxia was, Mrs. Wong decided to adopt the child.

And here they were, Mrs. Wong took little Anxia―??got out of her luxury car in front of the Wong family’s residence. Michele saw her mother getting off the car while holding her newly adopted daughter―she was inquisitive and immediately ran to welcome her mother.

“Mama!!” Michele exclaimed with sparkling eyes as if she knew her mother had come home with a present for her.

Mrs. Wong chuckled, seeing that her daughter was twice as enthusiastic as usual. The lady clapped little Anxia’s hand and started to introduce the two of them.

“Michele, haven’t you always wanted to have a little sister? Let me introduce someone to you. She is Qiaon Anxia―she will be your little sister.”

.....

Hearing her mother’s words made Michele squeal with joy, and her whole body felt very itchy, wanting to take her new sister away to her doll house. Michele wanted to show her new sister how big her dollhouse was and give her some dolls. If necessary, Michele would give her entire dollhouse to Anxia as long as the child was willing to be her little sister!

“Hello, my name is Michele!” Michele’s mother smiled, amused to see her daughter, who looked impatient to invite her new sibling to play together.

Little Anxia was still very new and met Mrs. Wong several times before she was finally taken home by the woman.

Anxia was confused, and fear overcame her brain and heart, recalling her master would punish her if she failed the mission, which was she had to be accepted by this unknown family.

“Xiao Xia, don’t be afraid. From now on, Michele will be your big sister, and I promise she will love you very much and protect you. Isn’t that right, Michele?”

Michele nodded excitedly, stretching her arm towards Anxia to remark on their first meeting. Hesitantly, little Anxia took Michele’s hand, slightly bigger than hers. In the next second, Mrs. Wong laughed because Michele immediately rushed Anxia to her room to show her the doll house.

It didn’t take long for Michele and Anxia to get along, while Mr. Wong wasn’t too fond of accepting a new daughter, which was not his.

However, after being coaxed by his wife and seeing how elated his daughter was, Mr. Wong finally agreed.

Even though Mr. Wong had accepted Anxia as a member of his family, he still refused to change the child’s surname with his. The only person entitled to inherit all his assets and property was Michelle―his biological daughter. As for Anxia, ??he would give a small portion of his assets if the child excelled.

Within two months, the timid Anxia had become loose and spoiled to Michele and her adoptive mother. But the little girl couldn’t behave the same when Mr. Wong was there. Anxia was always kind and sweet whenever her adoptive father came home, and she never complained or whined to avoid irritating the older man.

The first mission that master Yu gave her was to make the entire Wong family like her, and Anxia’s knowledge of attracting other people was almost nil. Anxia decided to find out what the three family members liked and did whatever they enjoyed.

Michele loved her and wished Anxia would rely on her more and follow her everywhere she went―that’s what Anxia did. On the other hand, Mrs. Wong liked to dote on a child, but at the same time, she expected the child could be helpful and considerate. Hence, Anxia would occasionally whine over trivial things like wanting to eat ice cream or not wanting to eat vegetables. However, Anxia was always ready to help her adoptive mother by cleaning the dishes or helping her tidy up the dolls that were scattered in Michele’s room.

Another case for Mr. Wong―the man liked being praised for his efforts, which was what Anxia did. Whenever the man told of his business that had made him huge profits, Anxia praised him to the sky, making Mr. Wong smile with satisfaction.

The longer Anxia lived there, the greater the affection the Wong family had for Anxia, and no one expected, Anxia would also have the same attachment to the family. She no longer felt threatened nor scared, as if the Wongs were her real family.

When Anxia decided to stop master Yu’s evil plans through her, the school principal came to the Wong family to let Anxia join a special program for one week.

The principal told them that Anxia had enormous potential, so by joining this program, Anxia would grow into a person who would bring glory to her family. At first, Mr. and Mrs. Wong did not agree because they believed that Anxia was still too young to be forced to learn something that was not yet the time to be taught.

Anxia herself wanted to protest and reject this program, but when she saw the threat of the principal’s eyes of danger, Anxia could only sit quietly listening.

The headmaster was one of Master Yu’s confidants! How could she dare to rebel openly? Anxia had no choice but to say she wanted to join the program. Mr. and Mrs. Wong finally agreed and signed a consent form from the student’s parents after the school guaranteed that Anxia would return to them safely.

Unfortunately, Michele was not willing to be separated for a week. She whined and cried until she locked herself in her room.

“Xiao Xia, do you want to catch up with your sister and coax her? You can’t possibly let her cry alone in your absence, right?”

Anxia nodded in agreement and immediately walked to her sister’s room.
