Chapter 155: Tempering His Body Part 1

Chapter 155: Tempering His Body Part 1

{Make sure to completely absorb the medical properties of the mixture and from the pills, then afterwards remove all the impurities. That black substance that is excreted from your body when you breakthrough is present in the pills and will be harmful for your body if they build up} stated Utsusu just as Damian was about to put the medicinal mixture in the boiling water.

{That is the reason why cultivators, who are wealthy and rely on pills and medication to increase their power, can't increase their cultivation past a certain cultivation level and are also weaker than ordinary cultivators at the same level as them} informed him Utsusu.

{To remove the impurities, it is a simple, but quite arduous, process. You will need to cultivate normally for a while pushing the impurities slowly out of your body over time or by forcefully pushing them out of your body, which is much harder to do and is also very painful. It requires a lot of focus to do so directly, or the host could remove them gradually through training and pushing your body to its limits} stated Utsusu.

[That must also be another of the reasons why people find it very hard to break through the Mortal Cultivation Level. The impurities within the body are very hard to remove and it requires intense training to be removed over time, but if one consumes pills, there are medicinal impurities. They are different to normal impurities, but have the same negative effects and need to be removed manually unlike normal impurities that will be removed through training and breathing through] read Damian who had suddenly received more information from the Golden Flame Inheritance after Utsusu told him about it.

"Thanks for letting me know Utsusu, I never would have known about it if it wasn't for you. I am sure that the others know since they have masters that are knowledgable elders, but I need to tell Milo" said Damian.

{Just tell him after you completely absorb the medical mixture, which should take you 3 days. Even if he does eat all the pills and absorbs the medicinal mixture as well, his body is unique just like yours and will be fine} reassured him Utsusu.

Some more information about pills and medical mixtures, that also came in powder forms appeared within his mind from the Golden Flame Inheritance.

Damian couldn't help but praise the previous Golden Flame Master that had created an incredibly useful inheritance as he began to read through what had appeared within his mind.

It stated that medicinal mixtures or powders were very dense in energy and if consumed directly would damage the body massively as it was too much for someone's body to handle all at once.

Instead, alchemists found a way to condense it into a mixture, power or any other small form that could be placed in water where if the cultivators soaked in it, would be able to slowly absorb the medicinal properties.

Pills were formed of less harmful ingredients that had less aggressive medicinal properties so could be consumed directly, and the more skilled the alchemist, the less impurities would be found within the medicinal mixture/power or pill.

This is because, the refining process was one of the most important, where using a special flame or their own flame, the alchemist would try their best to remove as much of the impurities within the ingredients as they could.

The ranks of an alchemist's product were dictated by the quality and rarity of the ingredients used, while the grade or quality level was dictated by how well the pill was made and how much of the impurities were removed.

It was also important to remove the impurities during the refining process as the more impurities were removed, the more energy and medical properties would be found in the product.

Damian was amazed by everything that he read and learnt, which had opened his eyes to alchemy that suited his Maxwell Fire Soul Spirit, but he was more focused on increasing his power.

"Let's get started then," said Damian to himself as he poured the medicinal mixture into the boiling water that he had in the bathtub.

Activating his Maxwell Fire Soul Spirit, Damian could see the water in the bathtub bubbling. The heat that was emanating from it was frightening and reminded him of the heat that came from the furnace that he used at Elder Marth's blacksmith.

Although he had a fire Soul Spirit, which made him slightly more resistant to fire, he was yet to temper his body with the Golden Flame Body Tempering Method that made him immune to fire.

Taking a deep breath and calming down his nerves, Damian knew that if he thought too much about it and hesitated, it would only make it harder for himself to start.

Smoke filled his bathroom as the water in the barrel, that had turned red after Damian poured the medicinal mixture into it, bubbled.

It looked exactly like what he had imagined that molten lava looked like.

Without thinking too much about it, slowly got into the bathtub, not wanting to spill or waste any of the valuable medicinal fluid by jumping in.

As soon as his right foot touched the red and bubbling medicinal fluid, it was instantly assaulted by heat and fire energy, but Damian clenched his teeth and endured as he submerged the rest of his body in the medicinal fluid.

Tears streamed down Damain's face as an overwhelming pain and heat spread around his body, but with his strong willpower, Damian was still staying conscious and wasn't giving in to all the pain.

{Start using the Golden Flame Body Tempering Method otherwise your body will be damaged by the fire energy} shouted Utsusu within Damian's mind.

It was very hard to think about anything while enduring such overwhelming pain, let alone concentrate on controlling the fire energy that was attacking his body and causing the pain.

[I will become the strongest] roared Damian within his mind as he brought up the Golden Flame Body Tempering Method within his mind and was ready to begin the tempering process.
