Stuck as a Villain!

Chapter 132: Missed me?

Chapter 132: Missed me?

[Seth's POV:]

'How the fuck did I end up here... '

The dawn was nearing, the cold breeze rushing past my face as I found myself facing not less than three hundred men and women wearing similar kinds of uniforms minus their crest which signifies their respective organizations.

All of them were part of the underworld.

Last night, I was deep in my thoughts regarding Miyuki which kept me awake for a long time, and by the time I went to bed, it was already half past midnight. The theory of her abilities is something worth researching about so the tour of my mind space where most of my books are stored turned out longer than I initially intended it to be.

It was near dawn when I felt something moving and despite having my senses active and my artifacts working on me without a moment of rest, I was not able to prevent the change to transpire.

I was...transported across the lands.

Yes, I was far away from the venue where the Tournament was taking place. I couldn't pinpoint my location but there were no signs of presence around me other than these goons.

Or should I say...elites?

They were giving off a dangerous vibe, something I could not have expected from local thugs, indicating that this matter was taken rather seriously by those who have been targeting me ever since.

For the record, I have annihilated troops of two organizations but to target me head-on...?

'Alliance? '

It was apparent that these guys were assigned the common job by their respective bosses but it would be too unbelievable to treat this as a coincidence that seven underworld gangs sent their personnel at once, which means they have made a truce to destroy a common enemy.

"You know this could end peacefully if you let us kill you?"

One of them walked forward, probably the teleportation chanter or maybe their leader before his shrill voice, reached up to me.

"Shouldn't a dying man get some liberty to fight back?"

I replied with my expression unchanging before I took out my Third Eye Ring and a pair of daggers from my storage. Thanks to the fact that I woke up the very next instance my surroundings shifted that I still possess my storage ring and my head.

Now it depends on how far am I right now for the shadow soldiers to reach me, but that would be a matter of later concern.

'First I should clean this up... '

I was about to launch myself forward utilizing the strength I have built past few months when suddenly, the surface beneath my opponents began to turn red.

"Huh?"

Before any one of them could have reacted properly, something absurd to believe happened.

"AAAAAAAASRGHHH!!"

"HEEELLLLLPP MEE!!"

"GAAAAAAAHHHH!!"

Those were the scream of those who were here to kill me but from what I could see, their proper annihilation was in process.

Fuming lava erupted all of a sudden from the surface along with several flame pillars which engulfed each of them thoroughly. It would not be an exaggeration to say that it was the second most merciless death I have ever seen. The first one remained of what Shin faced at the hands of my mother.

Those who tried to use their skills were not forgiven as well since either it was flight type or teleportation, nothing seemed to be working out for them, as someone has cast Soul restriction...?

'Whoever this is...it's powerful...'

In the meantime, I was thinking about all this, I used my all-seeing 3rd eye to investigate the premise but nothing seemed to work. My senses were on alert but due to the Soul Interference Magic I was unable to wield my skill freely and that was extremely unsettling.

The flames were subdued, leaving the molten human corps behind. The smell of active lava was still permeating violently but no lethal gas was reaching up to me for some strange reasons. And now that I notice, despite being fifty meters away from the damaged site, I didn't feel much heat as well.

The grip on my dagger's handle tightened as I began to visually look around for the chanter. However, it was proven to be futile as a voice only inches behind me called up, taking me off guard.

"Ryuu-kun~Missed me?"

-------------

"Five points to Team 4th."

Another point was granted to the Savant Academy, making it a perfect fifteen for them even though only five questions have been asked up until now.

Five points were granted to the Elitwiq team and five to Pristine, credits were to the only knowledgeable candidate from the team, Vice-Captain Ciel.

Arata and Kevin were just decorations since they have near zero academic knowledge when it comes to competitive levels. Two other teams have been silently watching the round without even trying to touch the buzzer since from the looks of it, they were just here to not get themselves disqualified.

Ciel's face was something that worried Serena who was in the audience, seated along with other students who were allowed to watch the matches. These students were either selected based on their social status or those elites who were once students of one of these six academies.

"It seems we are gonna lose this one..."

Ciel clenched her fist hearing the thing from Arata which she already knew. How dumbfuck they could be to be this aloof despite how important this tournament was, she could not ascertain it, at all!

She thought of herself as somewhat above average academically but the only answer she landed correctly was something her father has taught her before, and that was why she still remembered it. Something related to the founder of the Chivalry Battalions of the First Force who was the primary supportive unit of the First Heroes.

But other than that... everything was bouncing off her head!

Never in her life, Ciel has found herself this hopeless.

'Where are you, president... 'Ciel's pleading gaze went toward the door before she heard the announcer continuing.

"Now onto the next question..."

A/N: - Sorry for the short chap.

Tell me something.

Should I write Seth and Miyuki's convo or express it between the lines?

Drop your suggestion.
