Stuck as a Villain!

Chapter 102: Captain Seth!

Chapter 102: Captain Seth!

There are in total six continents divided on the surface with a name following according to their ranking.

Ranghaur.

Elitwiq.

Ènlair.

Brisbain.

Emangeline.

Ginzerg.

It was given that Ranghaur was leading the hierarchy in the standing amongst the other nations due to its rigid foundation led by the strongest warrior in the legends. And also the tremendous resources Ranghaur treasures along with the major reading routes which only keep the vault growing with time.

Not to talk about the iron-hard defense of Ranghaur which comes from the specially trained soldiers and warriors Ranghaur nurtures through the best care and provides them necessities to make them burdened under their servitude.

But there was something that Ranghar was unable to retain, and that was their pride in the last two Tournaments where Elitwiq which was on the second step of the ladder, managed to defeat Ranghaur and other nations, overwhelmingly and landed the best scores to make their nation proud.

It was given that Ranghaur would have sent their elites in the past as well to win this tournament which had much more value than it seems. But the students of Elitwiq were so well versed in their fights and the efficient way they used their abilities showed the world, how deserving Elitwiq is for their position.

It was now what people think, but soon that belief might change since having the topmost leading nation to lose would create a sense of doubt.

The young generation is what decides a nation's future and if they get destroyed by someone lower in the ranking than them, then it sure would become a source of concern.

"Thus, we select President Seth as the team representative and captain of this year."

The meeting room went completely silent when Professor Henry concluded his analysis and came to a conclusion without minding to take any vote or permission of the headmaster on the matter. Like he already had decided on his own and wanted others to just comply.

The senior professor, Henry Silvester, was indeed a promising analyzer and carries a good head on his shoulder which was why things related to records evaluation and the valuable suggestion were a part of the brown-haired middle-aged professor.

"Wait a moment, Professor Henry. I do not have doubts about Student Seth's ability as a leader but are we forgetting that in the tournament, one has to perform in order to gain points? And excuse me if I sound rude but Student Seth has to prove his worth if he wants to be on the team since that's what all the others would do. We can't have our professors behaving partially toward any student, right?"

It was one of the professors with round spectacles and a partially bald head at the center who forwarded his point which most of the people in the office agreed upon.

To decide the main four competitors of the tournament, a test of strength is being arranged where students are given a chance to show their value and get a chance to shine in front of the world.

Soon the murmurs died down when the headmaster's low groggy yet domineering voice reverberated around.

"Indeed, Professor Minguin. Seth just like others has to take the test to prove his worth and I am certain that he would pass, given the recent 'development' he had shown..."

Seth flinched at those words since knowing the old man, he must be aware of the fact that Seth has killed Ethan just some hours ago yet the bearded wizard did nothing because of obvious reasons.

First, because the headmaster must be aware of the Charmer mist and the caster of it so Seth taking action on it albeit a little too far-fetched was a genuine reason. And second, was Seth's backing which prevented the old man from making a scene out of it.

"However, even if he fails, are you, Professor Minguin, or does anyone else in the room have any better students in mind to go against the strategists behind the Elitwiq team?"

It was known that the Elitwiq team was not exceptionally strong but was well taught and had a clear goal in mind about how to conquer their enemy using the most efficient way.

To have the chance against such a master mind team, there was required a counter plan to fight against the brains of the team and finally break the streak of the previous two losses.

Hearing Headmaster Rowell's question along the subtle challenge along the lines, all the lips got sealed since they had no one in mind to propose in place of Seth who was known to have a far more stable and cunning mind than those of his age or those who are older than him.

Born with beauty, brain, and talent is what makes Seth a perfect youth who has constantly astonished all the professors with his quick-wittedness and accurate judgments in the past.

"As Headmaster stated, we need President Seth on the team since a mature brain is a thousand times better than several hot-blooded youths. We need rationality and a better evaluation of the situation so the team could proceed even in a dire situation. That's why I intended to have President Seth on the team, in the first place."

Professor Henry nailed the last bit of hesitation from the others as he made the point clear how much it was required for Seth to be in the team and guide his team to victory.

All along the discussion, Seth remained silent and noted what transpired in the short time. Thankfully, it helped him temporarily forget about the things related to all the stuff that happened back in Haruka's office.

Seth was slightly overwhelmed by the trust they had in him and blamed the old Seth to be such outstanding which raised their blind hope in him. But not like he ever planned to back out from this tournament and even if they didn't think about him being a participant, Seth would still have entered the tournament.

Reason? His mother wishes to see him victorious. And it was enough for Seth to put away his reservedness and go all out to get on the top of the ranks.

It helped that Professors were on his side so he could use his authority as a leader and command his team according to the situation. This day was not that bad...well, it still was messed up which Seth has yet to contemplate about.

"We have several talents this year and it won't take much time to get our next three participants who would stand along with president Seth. However, one thing still is a matter of concern."

As Henry said, the headmaster filled up the blank making the audience slightly tensed up and curious as well.

"The substitute."

In case of any kind of unforeseeable circumstances, it was recommended to have a substitute who could replace any participant and carry on the tournament. It was not mandatory but no one dares to not take an extra with them since accidents are not something unique to not care about.

Not only the substitute can work in someone's stead but they can provide a tiebreaker while competing against another participant. That way, the substitute could be in full health when they would battle for a tiebreaker.

Amongst the pondering gazes and low murmuring, a voice rang up which was silent until now.

Gathering everyone's attention, Seth finally spoke up about the perfect solution regarding the matter.

"If you may Headmaster, then I have a particular student in mind."
