I Know the Secret to Surpass Level 100

Chapter 102: Crimson Guard Scabbard Piece

Chapter 102: Crimson Guard Scabbard Piece

Just when Elliot was about to brandish his sword and fight, an arm was raised in front of him. Kian stared at the eyes of the large man Florencia was with, boring holes with his glare.

"Let her go," Kian said with voice so stern an dominant, it even made the man flinch.

"A-Are you" the man trailed off and clear his throat, trying to regain his composure but failing every time. "I"

Kian appeared in front of the man, his aura was pulsing, raging like a violent storm. "Let. Her. Go."

The man released her and walked away, looking around in case someone else saw.

Losing the sight of the scary man, Florencia fall into Elliot's arms. "Thank you so much."

Elliot was surprised for a moment but let the young girl clutch into him. "What have you done this time?"

"He was a man who said who would killl me if I don't go with him," Florencia cried. "I was so scared. Thank you for saving me, Elliot."

"But I was the one who save you though," Kian sighed and waved his hand. "Anyway, I'm off. See you guys later."

"Hey," Elliot called out and pushed Florencia away gently. "I'll go to your shop today to pay for someone else's quest."

"Sorry," Florencia sniffled. "I already apologized."

"I didn't say I forgive you though," Elliot playfully retorted and walked to Isabelle's shop with Kian while Florencia was trailing them.

"Finally," Isabelle chested after seeing Elliot. "Where's the Guard?"

Elliot took the body from his Inventory and placed it on the table Isabelle led him to. It was a large table behind the shelves and there were some flasks filled with concoctions.

"This is my workplace for non-dangerous crafts," Isabelle said.

"You have the power to create a portal to the other side of the city and you chose a corner in your shop as your work area," Elliot snickered.

"Ah, it's not like you make any good life choices yourself," Isabelle countered. "Put the Guard there."

She pointed the table where Elliot placed the Guard. He was looking at the corpse and was still amaze how the Inventory could defy time that prevents his items from rotting. His Inventory feature doesn't even let rust to form.

"I'm still in awe even after seeing your Spatial Magic for a dozen times," Isabelle said. "Usually, the spatial magician would place the items in a house or a special storage and would open a portal there. This was from 2 days ago and the carcass is preserved."

"What are you gonna do with the corpse?" Elliot changed the topic.

"Err, okay you keep your secrets," Isabelle sighed and took several flasks from her shelves. "I have to finish this Terran Royalty Series. A special series for"

"You have the Terran Royalty Series?!" Elliot gasped, slamming his hands on the table. "Show me!"

"Show you what?" Isabelle quirked her brow. "Terran Royalty Series are for Crafters as their Subclass. It allows us to craft better equipment."

"Yeah, show me how you put the pieces there," Elliot said.

"But you need to Ace the Academy to gain the system for"

"Show me," Elliot pleaded. "Please. I was so lost for so long."

Isabelle walked over to him and placed her hands on his shoulders, "Kid, look. If you really want the Royalty Series System, you still need to enter the Crafters Academy and become the Valedictorian. You can retake the class for a year, but if you're not the second smartest one in class, it would take at least 20 years. That's how I wasted my life, but anyway, being Adventurer brings you a better life. Don't waste it."

"But I already have the system," Elliot said that made Isabelle stop and stare into the void.

Her eyes twitched, not able to say anything else. "W-What?"

"I need to unlock all the circle things," Elliot placed his finger on his chin, deep in thought. "How do I unlock all these things?"

"Those are called Slots, Elliot," Isabelle sighed in defeat. "You need the Pieces from the required source that is displayed on the Slots."

"Pieces? Crystals? Isabelle, I'm not following you," Elliot pursed his lips.

Isabelle sighed, "Well, you could see the symbols on the pentagon, right? The colors represent the Five Palaces."

Elliot nodded slowly, opening his Terran Royalty Series panel and looked at his console where the things were.

"The pentagons led to circles, right?" Isabelle asked, waiting for Elliot to nod before she continued. "Those contain the symbols for the beasts inside the Palaces, the Phantoms, Guards, Knights, Mages, and Archers. Each circle branches out to different items of the beasts."

"Right," Elliot said. Isabelle instructed him to pinch and open his fingers to zoom in the map-like structure, and it enlarged just like the woman said it would. "Woah."

"I will first take the Guard's scabbard," Isabelle said as she took the Guard's scabbard. "Next is the gauntlet, the their boots, their helmet, and finally, their heart. Each Set always has the heart as the last Piece."

"That seems easy though," Elliot said.

"Oh, it's not easy," Isabelle chuckled. She placed the needed items on a smaller table where she lined them up one by one. "You need potions to Pull the Pieces out of these items."

"Pull what? These are not the actual Pieces?" Elliot asked and Isabelle shook her head in response.

While their conversation was ongoing, Florencia fell bored and walkes away. Kian lost interest too and continued with his work.

Isabelle took a small knife and took the Guard's eyes. The sound made Elliot almost puke, even when he had experienced this before.

"Oh, don't be such a baby. Brewing requires certain parts, you have to be able to man up and take these out yourself," Isabelle said.

She placed the eyeballs in a jar and added other ingredients inside it. She then took a fire crystal and a stand and brewed the eyeball mixture.

The scent was disgusting, making Elliot thankful that he didn't have to deal with it everytime he would Brew in his Console.

"We now have our Crimson Guard Pull Mixture," Isabelle said. "Let's go Pull."

"Wait, what is Pulling?" Elliot asked as he followed the lady.

"Pulling is the process of extracting the Pieces from the items. Pieces are names for the crystals that we're going to absorb to put in our system," Isabelle informed and took the concoctions with her. "Three drops of Shrine Fox's Tail Fur Potion, Star Tree Sap two drops, and finally" Isabelle paused and leaned in. "Crimson Guard Pull Mixture."

The scabbard glowed and covered its entirety with light. It took another shape, a shape of a snowflake-shaped six-pointed star with a sphere in the middle.

"Woah," Elliot gasped but instantly covered his ears when an ear-piercing screech sounded from the star.

Isabelle stretched her arms and raised her right hand. She slammed it down on the glowing star and focused. The star from her palm moved rapidly, making the woman use her strength to let it down.

"Oh, she's pulling," Kian walked inside. "This is interesting."

Elliot looked at him, "Interesting?"

Isabelle raised her hand with the star inside it. The stat was wriggling to get out of her grip, trying to break free.

"This is why it's called 'Pulling'," Isabelle said and pulled her hand down. She was groaning and pulling the star down to the table, slamming her hand and waited for a couple of seconds.

"Finally done," Isabelle sighed. "Take a look at this, kid. This is the Piece we need."

Elliot walked over and saw the star. He used Inspect on it and was amazed by the information displayed.
