I Became the Best Forensic Doctor After My Betrayal

Chapter 111 - 111 Resignation

111 Resignation

“I didn’t expect President Lian to have the habit of invading other people’s privacy,” Shen Yin mocked him sarcastically. She picked up a piece of meat and stuffed it into her mouth, chewing unhappily.

A smile appeared on Lian Jing’s face. “I didn’t expect you to be so interested in me. My name is all over your search bar.”

“That’s because you’re taking up too many public resources! You’re the trending topic, so I opened it to took a look.” Shen Yin took another bite of rice without batting an eyelid. Then, she could not take it anymore and stood up to snatch the cell phone.

She limped as she climbed off the bed. Just as she reached Lian Jing’s side, he pulled her arm and she fell onto his lap.

Lian Jing rested his head on her shoulder and sniffed the disinfectant on her neck. His expression was dark. “When you’re discharged, I’ll bring you to see the world.”

At the mention of being discharged, Shen Yin forgot to struggle. She sat on his lap and moved his head away. She said seriously, “I think I can be discharged immediately. I don’t need to stay in the hospital for such a long time for such a small injury.”

“No.” Lian Jing’s gaze landed on her neck. “Your wound had healed then reopened. Why don’t you just recuperate properly before being discharged?”

Shen Yin rolled her eyes and thought to herself, Just who caused my wound to reopen so many times! If I leave you, my wound might heal faster.

However, she did not say this out loud. Otherwise, with Lian Jing’s domineering attitude, he would definitely do something to force her to give in. She rolled her eyes and thought of a very convincing reason. “I have to go to work. My work has been piling up for the past few days.”

But Lian Jing’s expression darkened when he heard. His thin lips parted slightly, and he said in a commanding tone, “You had better resign. This job is not suitable for you.”

Shen Yin instantly sprang out of his lap and stared in disbelief at this man who was trying to control everything in her world. “I can’t resign! I need a job!”

Lian Jing patiently advised, “You can work, but you can’t be a forensic pathologist. If anything happens to you again, what will Nian Nian do?”

Shen Yin looked at him in a daze, but she still shook her head firmly. “No, I once promised someone that I would always be a forensic pathologist, who speaks up for the deceased.”

“Who?” Lian Jing looked at her with an ugly expression. “Who did you promise?”

“I can’t tell you.” Shen Yin turned her head away and snatched the cell phone back. Then, she sat back down by the bed to eat.

Lian Jing narrowed his eyes dangerously and asked again coldly, “Who is it? Another man?”

Shen Yin paused for a moment, her thoughts drifting towards the blood soaked corridor, and then the pair of dead eyes that were fixed on her.

She shook her head and waved away the nightmare that had plagued her for many years. She looked at Lian Jing firmly. “Anyway, I definitely won’t resign. You can forget about using Nian Nian to force me to choose. Nian Nian will not listen to you. He has always been supportive of my work.”

Lian Jing suddenly sneered and walked in front of her. His head blocked the light behind him. His tall figure exuded a strong sense of authority that enveloped the slender Shen Yin.

“I don’t intend to threaten you with my son, but you might not be so lucky next time.”

Shen Yin did not want to be cowed by his imposing manner, so she stood up and asked unwillingly, “What are you trying to say?”

Lian Jing looked past her at the ring that had been abandoned in the corner for the past few days and said, “Either resign or wear a tracking device.”

“Impossible!” Shen Yin frowned and looked at him. This person had not touched her just now. She thought that he had changed and he really intended to respect her. But he was still so domineering!

Lian Jing grabbed her arm and pulled her closer. His gaze landed on her stubborn face. “I don’t want to quarrel with you. You have to listen to me about this.”

With that, he narrowed his eyes and touched her lips meaningfully. “Or are you going to do something behind my back that makes it inconvenient for me to know your location? Which man is it this time? The one you made the promise to?”

Shen Yin pushed his hand away and pursed her lips, showing some impatience. “Are you done? In your eyes, are all relationships reduced to romantic ones?”

Lian Jing’s face was cold as he looked at her sternly. “I hope not, Shen Yin. Otherwise, I’ll make sure you and that man die a horrible death.”
