Volume 6.5 Chapter 83: Will You Listen To My Story?

I can't believe we're going there. Scarlet groaned. After defeating the hunter hornets, they decided to go to the beehive. They needed to report what happened to the hornets. And they were right before the hive. It was not as big as the nest, but more than enough.

"Are you sure we should be coming to a place like this?" Scarlet was still hesitant.

Keith nodded, "You don't need to worry about anything. They're actually friendly."

"..." Are you really going to say that? Dragon bees were notorious for being hostile. Yet, this guy was acting so calm in front of them! As the two waited, someone came out from the hive. It was a slightly larger bee but had a humanoid form instead. With its appearance, a large number of dragon bees followed suit.

"Hi, Dragon Bee Queen! I killed the king; the hornets shouldn't be staying around here anymore!" Keith stated. When he did, the queen's expression brightened as she flew forward to Keith. Scarlet had never seen something like this before. How could he be cozying it up with a monster!

"As per our agreement, I want the honey." That was the whole reason why he came here.

"Bzz!" The dragon bee queen nodded as she quickly brought forth a large amount of honey. Seeing it about to drip on the ground, Keith grabbed a jar.

"Please place it here!" The dragon bee queen moved her body above it. The liquid gold made Keith salivate. What a heft! Holding onto the jar, it was definitely heavier than a sack of potatoes!

"Thank you for the honey! We'll be off now!" Keith and Scarlet needed to return. But before they could go.

"Bzzz." The dragon bee queen sounded.

"Hmm? What's the matter?" Keith tilted his head as he saw the dragon bee entering the hive. She returned after a few seconds.

"An egg?" What the dragon bee queen had brought out was a white cocoon. Keith tilted his head as he stared, "Is this your baby?"

"Bzzz." The queen nodded.

"You're giving this to me?" Keith blinked, wanting to confirm again. The dragon bee queen nodded. But the man waved his hand,

"I can't accept something like this." The dragon queen shook her head when she saw Keith handing the egg back.

"...Alright, I will keep it." Keith took a deep sigh. The dragon bee queen said nothing as she flew back to her home. Turning to Scarlet, "What's the matter with you?" While Keith talked with the dragon bee queen, this girl had a dull expression.

"You got an egg." Scarlet's eyes couldn't keep her eyes off that cocoon. It was bigger than a chicken egg.

"Yes, I did. I also got some honey as well." Keith didn't forget about that. The honey was going to be delicious.

"Now we can leave!"

"Let me go get my horse." He quickly walked over to the side. That was where the two saw Knight munching on some grass. While Keith had gone to deal with the hornets, he had Knight stay around here.

"Ngeh!" Knight looked up. A grin formed as he patted, "Mmhmm. We're done." The horse was eager to leave. When Keith was about to get on,

"Wait a minute? How did you get here?" Keith realized that Scarlet was alone? Did she walk here?

"No, I came here on a horse."

"..." Looking around, "Where is it?"

"Oh, it bolted when it caught sight of the dragon bee," Scarlet explained, her hand scratching her head in mild confusion. The horse's disappearance had slipped her mind until it was brought up now.

"I see." Keith thought, "Then you can ride the horse with me."

"Eh?"

"Yeah. The only way we could leave now is with Knight. Or do you want to wait here or walk?" Those were the only ways she could leave.

"..." But together?

Keith shook his head as he gestured, "Come here." Without a second later, Scarlet's hips were grabbed and raised her up.

"Eeep!" A little squeal came out of the girl's mouth when she felt Keith's hand. Holding her mouth, she glared, "How about a warning next time?"

"What's the matter?" Keith's expression was calm and bright, as if nothing was wrong with his actions.

"..." Scarlet glared, but Keith didn't mind as he placed her on Knight. It was her usual expression. This was another Tuesday.

"But I must admit, I never expected you would make such a cute squeal." Scarlet was always a tigress. Never did Keith expect her to make such a cute voice.

"..." Do you want to get hit? Scarlet's cheeks turned red from embarrassment and fury. But that didn't stop Keith from getting on top of Knight.

"Why are you behind me?!" It was Keith, then Scarlet.

"Do you want me to be front?" Front or behind. It didn't matter where he sat.

"...Fine." Scarlet sighed as she had to accept this. Like so, the group moved forward.

"How fast is your horse?!" Scarlet blinked as she felt the wind hitting her face. It was going so fast.

"This is nothing. Knight!" With Keith's voice, Knight dashed forward! A smackful of wind hit Scarlet. With the strength of the force of the wind, Scarlet gets pushed back onto Keith's body.

"Hold onto the reins." Keith's gentle voice muttered. With how long he rode with Knight, he was normal.

Not so much for the demon girl.

Scarlet had to move her face onto Keith's chest. How is he so strong? She could feel his strong muscles. This lasted for quite some time.

"We could rest here." Keith noticed the sun was almost down; it was time to set up camp.

"You good?" Keith looked down and noticed how Scarlet's hair was frizzed up. She looked like an actual lioness.

"...I'm fine." Scarlet got off the horse with a wobble. I can't do it in front of him. She wanted to throw up. But this couldn't happen before Keith; pride wouldn't allow it.

"You can walk around. I'm going to set up camp." Keith summoned out his camping equipment. He turned to Aria, "Aria, please spot any monsters here."

"Hoo!" Aria nodded as she flew into the air and searched for any monsters. Keith cracked his knuckles, "What should I do with this?" The pot of honey came out of his hand. That had been on his mind as he moved.

Marinated steak. Honey was a great tenderizer, softening the meat and giving it extra sweetness. Keith took out a dragator steak. He seasoned it with salt and pepper. Then came the fun part, Keith took the meat and dredged it with honey.

Leave it there and let it marinate. Keith cracked his neck as he started to work on the other side dishes.
